The 2018 Smart Grid Conference (SGC) was held on November 28th and 29th, in Sanandaj, Kurdistan, Iran, organized by the University of Kurdistan (UOK) and Smart/Micro Grids Research Center (SMGRC) in cooperation of the Iranian Society of Smart Grid.
The SGC brings together an international community of researchers, practitioners, and experts to discuss the latest findings in the scope of smart grids. The conference featured various kinds of presentations (invited, technical paper and etc.), workshops, exhibits and discussion panels by experts representing both industry and academia.
Prospective researchers and experts were invited to submit original contributions or tutorials containing the latest finding of the conference topics to SGC2018 via the conference online submission system.
The keynote speakers at this conference were Professor Frede Blaabjerg, Professor Mohammad Shahidehpour, Professor Om P.malik, Professor Pavol Bauer and Dr.Mehdi Ganji. Which you can find the biography and a brief about there speech on the website of both SMGRC and SGC.

The accepted papers at this conference were in which 69 of them were written in English and were published in IEEE digital library and the rest of them were written Persian which were published in ISC.
The 2018 Smart Grid Conference (SGC) provided a place for specialists, researchers and practitioners in smart grid and state-of-the-art topics to present papers and attend presentations, workshops and exhibits from both industry and academia. This conference aimed to be a forum for researchers, developers, and specialists. SGC 2018 encouraged papers on all topics of the conference for interdisciplinary discussions of new ideas, research, development, applications and the latest advances in the field of smart grid.
